活動報告13−ホットケーキ始めましたー

【活動報告】
○World vision 　director 来訪
　マラウイの各地に支援活動を行っているアメリカのNGO団体『World vision 』が任地のヘルスセンターに、地域の各種啓発&活動見学のために、director が直々に訪問されました。 　女性グループのクッキングデモの見学をすると聞き、同行し目的地へ向かいました。その間、自身の活動やクッキングデモについて紹介するとともに、『マラウイでの栄養教育は6フードグループよりも、まずは3フードグループを優先すべきだ』と理由とともに説明したものの、中々理解してもらえず、現場と上層部での意見食い違いを感じたひとこまがありました。

○ホットケーキの販売
　クッキングデモの食材費はこれまで自身の生活費から捻出してましたが、先月好評だったホットケーキを試しに販売してみてその利益をクッキングデモの経費に充ててみたら？と思いやってみたところ、想像以上にヒットして利益を出すことができました。 『まずやってみる』から得ることは本当に多いですね。売上が持続するようなら、クッキングデモの経費に充てるだけでなくマラウイアンへの引き継ぎも視野にいれてみようか検討中です。
（ホットケーキ・パンケーキではマラウイアンは理解しづらいと思い、ジャパニーズマンダシという名前で販売してます。マンダシは路上でよく売られている、揚げパンorサーターアンダギーみたいなものです）

○蚊帳設置
天井崩落から蚊帳が中々設置できずにいましたが、同期隊員のヘルスセンターを参考に、蚊帳の設置にトライしました。半数のベッドに設置を完了出来ましたが、残りのベッドも物資が届き次第、雨季が本格化する前に早急に設置していきたいです。

今週はバイク免許試験&総会のため、今日から首都リロングウェに向け移動開始です。
久方ぶりに会う同期隊員もいるので、色々な話をするのが楽しみです。
【Activity Report】
○World vision director visited Mpherembe.
　To see volunteer groups activities, she came to Mpherembe health center.
　I guessed that's very big chance to let them know my activities, so I explained about my cooking demonstration, and I asked her. " Compared to 6 food groups, 3 food groups is better for most of Malawian. "
　I explained and asked about it with some reasons, but 6 food groups was still better than 3 food groups for her....
○I started to sell pancakes.
　The cost of cooking demonstration was from my money. Last month, many Malawian got to like pancakes, so I hit on a good idea. "If I can get profit by selling them, I think I can save my money when I do cooking demonstration." As a result, I succeeded to sell pancakes, and I could get profit.
"Anyway, I'll give it try"
　I felt the meaning of this message is very important again.
○I put some mosquito net in my health center.
　The bed room for pregnancy has no mosquito net, because top is broken like a picture. To try putting it before rain season start, I copied the layout of other health center. I couldn't make it complete that time, because of material. As soon as possible, I want to make it complete.
